Creating links between the world of research and that of business, promoting collaboration between the public and private worlds and encouraging the development of innovation processes capable of nurturing the growth and competitiveness of the territories. These are the main objectives of Area Science Park, a national research and innovation organization that celebrates its first forty years of activity.
It was, in fact, March 6, 1978 when the then President of the Republic Giovanni Leone signed the decree which established the "mandatory consortium for the research area", the first embryo of Area Science Park.
